This course is serious, challenging, and a lot of fun. You’ll practice real-world rescue scenarios and develop the ability to effectively respond to diver emergencies – from minor issues to major incidents.
What to Expect
The course runs over 2 days and includes a mix of theory, confined water practice, and open water rescue scenarios.
- eLearning: Before arrival, you'll complete the Rescue Diver eLearning module, allowing more time for practical training once you're here.
- Day 1: Review theory and practice rescue skills in a confined water environment.
- Day 2: Open water rescue exercises and final rescue scenarios, including managing panicked divers, surfacing unresponsive divers, and providing in-water rescue breaths.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to:
- Recognize and respond to diver stress
- Conduct underwater and surface rescues
- Assist unresponsive divers
- Use emergency oxygen units
- Improve your own situational awareness and problem-solving under pressure

- Full set of scuba rental gear

Prerequisites:
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification within the past 24 months (can be completed with us as the Emergency First Response Course)
