Coral Regrowth and Marine Life Flourish in Gizo
Nature’s Resilience Restores World-Class Diving
Following the 2007 earthquake, Dive Gizo is pleased to report that fish life remains prolific and that the two previously damaged sites on West Ghizo now show remarkable regrowth of many coral varieties. Most dive sites east of Ghizo Island experienced little damage, and the overall quality of diving continues to meet the highest standards. Today, divers see thriving reefs and abundant marine life, with far less evidence of past events thanks to the health and resilience of the local ecosystem.
